Of these

of-
park benches,
leaves on the ground
yellow and dry
chasing about in the dusty breeze,
and the world
golden,
the sun
amber,
and the glee of kids' voices;
of leaving the world below
oscillating in the laughter
light headed
with swing rides;
smelling the dead grass,
parched
- happiness

of-
the sky
overcast and grey
windy and wet
furious and primal
earthy,
pelts of water on my face,
pale light from the north
and the trees
dark in contrast
green, heavy;
a beauty alien to words
to glistening ink on white;
an evening under covers
without light
the grey outside my window
filtering in
dying me grey;
steam
spiraling from a cupful,
and watching the world
through the haze
- safety

of-
evenings
blue and violet,
clouds in the sky
white,
and through the leaves
the light
light and feathery,
birds in the trees,
the rustle of bamboo;
white happiness
of things well done
- contentment

of-
dusks,
summer ones,
warm and stifling
heavy with pollen
drowsy,
butterflies and wildflowers,
cooling concrete,
gritty sand,
the approaching purple,
inkiness setting in,
loosened limbs
- comfort

you remind me

    first you left a little window
    then you sang a little song
    there in my abode
    now
    i'm here
    at the place a beautiful soul
    lives
    i listen
    and don't want leave...

    happy to know you...
